Breathing life into new brands and helping companies tell their story.

Meghan Newell is an art director, designer, illustrator and animator with extensive experience spanning ad agencies, design studios, and in-house teams.

Meghan was most recently the first Head of Brand Design and Creative Lead at Watershed, a climate tech startup.  Much like her work as an early employee at Lyft (2013-2018), Nearby, and Pocket, Meghan brought Watershed's brand from early stage “grey boxes” to a recognizable name in the industry. Meghan has also worked directly with some of the largest companies in the world, including Google, Apple, and Mozilla.

Earlier, she spent about a decade freelancing for ad agencies, design studios and direct-to-client doing motion/interactive art direction, design, illustration and animation - highlights include design work on the groundbreaking Apple iPod silhouette spots, designing tv titles and show packages for MTV, VH1 and Current TV, storyboard design for many national commercials, and design work on high profile websites for blockbuster movies and fancy automobiles.

Her work as a creative technologist across 3D, animation, illustration, typography and design mark her as one of the true renaissance designers in the field today. Her work has been featured in the One Show, How magazine, and the Webbys. Meghan currently runs a multidisciplinary design studio, Calcium75, and splits her time between California and Arizona.
